Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of AI Brief (briefhelper.xyz). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What AI Brief does

AI Brief takes a free-form client brief you paste in and produces a structured technical specification plus a list of clarifying questions. The specification is generated by a large language model (Anthropic’s Claude). The output is best-effort and may contain inaccuracies — you remain responsible for reviewing it before using it with clients.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use AI Brief. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for any activity under your account. If you think someone else has accessed your account, reset your password and email hello@briefhelper.xyz.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use AI Brief for anything illegal under applicable law.
• Submit content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property, contains personal data of third parties without their consent, or constitutes defamation, harassment, or hate speech.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service. The closed-beta usage limit is enforced; do not try to circumvent it.
• Resell, rebrand, or expose the service as your own product. Using the generated output in your own work is fine.
• Use the service to generate content that violates Anthropic’s Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Your content and ours

You keep ownership of the briefs you submit and the specifications we generate from them. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs in order to deliver the service (run them through the AI provider, store them in your history, show them back to you).

The AI Brief platform itself — the website, branding, prompt engineering, code — is ours. You do not get any rights to it beyond using the service as described here.

6. Service availability

AI Brief is in closed beta. We may change features, pause access, change limits, or shut the service down with reasonable notice. We will give you a way to export your briefs if we shut down for good.

7. No warranties

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of AI output, fitness for any particular purpose, or that the service will meet your expectations. Reviewing the AI output before using it with clients is your responsibility.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at zero, since the service is currently free.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@briefhelper.xyz. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or attempt to abuse the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
